A comprehensive CME session on epidural anaesthesia techniques for painless vaginal delivery, covering patient selection, drug dosing, and complication management.
This CME seminar focused on the safe and effective application of epidural anaesthesia in obstetric practice. Topics covered included:
• Patient selection and consent for epidural analgesia
• Technical aspects of lumbar epidural insertion
• Drug protocols and dosing regimens for labour analgesia
• Management of complications: hypotension, high block, and inadvertent dural puncture
• Transition from labour epidural to surgical anaesthesia for caesarean section
The session was conducted by senior faculty and attended by residents, nurses, and medical officers from the obstetrics and anaesthesiology departments.
