Following terms and conditions govern the admission and pursuance of the course of study in Army Medical College Bogura. Eligibility for Admission Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
(1) Age - Maximum 20 years on 1st July 2025
(2) Sex - Male/Female
(3) Marital status - Unmarried
(4) Nationality - Bangladeshi by birth
(5) Educational qualification - Must have passed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or their equivalent examinations having Science.
The Minimum Educational Performances are as Follows:
(1) The students must have total GPA 9.00 of SSC & HSC or its equivalent examinations.
(2) For Tribal candidates, applicants must have total GPA 8.00 and minimum GPA 3.50 in each of SSC & HSC or its equivalent examination.
(3) Candidates completed O & A level should have same minimum standard as of Bangla Medium. Candidates desirous of applying in AMCs shall have to obtain an equivalent mark sheet/certificate/grade from DGHS, Mohakhali.
(4) Candidates must have Grade point 4.00 in Biology in HSC or in equivalent examinations.
(5) Physical standard: The candidates must be physically fit and confirm to the minimum physical standard to be fit by a medical board.
(1) Expelled or terminated from Army/Navy/Air Force or any Government service on any ground.
(2) Convicted by any court for any criminal offence.
(3) Candidates who have passed SSC or its equivalent examination before 2021 are not eligible to apply.
Medical cadets are enrolled through open competition. Two (2%) percent of the total seats are kept reserved for children of Freedom Fighters and one (1%) percent for Tribal citizen of Bangladesh.
Selection procedure is conducted by the Army Headquarters, Adjutant General's Branch (Medical Directorate).
(1) Invitation of applications through advertisement in National Dailies and website.
(2) Conducting of written examination.
(3) Publication of provisionally selected candidates with date of appearing before a Medical Examination Board and viva-voce examination through website & SMS.
(4) Issuing of joining instruction to the finally selected candidates.
Application procedure is completely „Online‟. To complete the procedure candidates shall do the followings:
(1) Web address to apply as follows: http://afmc.teletalk.com.bd
(2) Candidate shall get home page of the admission web site. The page shows two paths. First, for the candidate passed in National Curriculum and second for the Candidate passed in GCE (O/A/both).
(3) Candidates interested for first path shall select that and press next. A web page will open, on which candidate has to type his/her SSC & HSC roll number and has to select education board & year of passing. On pressing next “Application Form” will appear.
(4) Candidates interested for second path shall select that and press next. A web page will open, on which candidate has to type his/her code number received from Director, Medical Education, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). On pressing next “Application Form” will appear.
(5) Candidate has to complete the form by typing or selecting options. In addition following two documents are required to be attached:
(a) Photo - Recent, Size: 300 / 300 Pixel & less than 100 kb and jpg format.
(b) Signature -Recent Size: 80/300 Pixel & less than 60 kb and jpg format.
(6) On successful completion of form candidate shall select „submission‟. A “Students Copy” of submitted form shall appear.
(7) Application fee will be nominated by AHQ, AG Branch, Medical Directorate. The submission form will be cancelled for any candidate failing to do so. However, that candidate can submit application again, if the last date of submission still prevails.
(8) Candidate selected for written examination will get SMS information. Those selected candidates will be able to download „Admit Card‟ using user name and password from the same web address during last 7 days prior to exam. Admit card may be color/black & white print, preferably laser print. Roll number, date & time of examination, Examination Centre and various instructions will be on „Admit Card‟.
(9) For O/A both passed Candidate. They must put GPA/GP as per the equivalence certificate issued from Directorate General of Health Services of Bangladesh Government.
Candidates are selected for written examination on the basis of SSC and HSC results and other criteria as mentioned above.
(1) The candidates will appear for written examination (MCQ) of 100 marks (Syllabus HSC/equivalent). For each correct respond candidates will get „1‟ & for each wrong respond 0.25 marks shall be deducted. Distribution of marks is as under: Ser. No Subject Marks
a. Physics 20
b. Chemistry 25
c. Biology 30
d. English 15
e. General Knowledge 10
Total 100
(2) For SSC or its equivalent examination, 10 times of GPA score and for HSC or its equivalent examination, 10 times of GPA score will be added to make final merit list.
(3) Students passed HSC of previous session will be penalized by 03 marks. The same will be 06 of any students already admitted in any Government Medical Colleges or Dental Colleges/Units.
(4) Qualified candidates in the written exam for respective Army Medical Colleges will appear at a medical examination.
(5) Medically fit candidates of Army Medical College will appear before viva voce examination.
The selection committee formed selects the candidates for admission. A waiting list will be prepared on the basis of merit for the vacant seats (if any). They will undergo the same procedure for final selection according to their position in the waiting list. Concealing Information Concealing information at any stage of selection procedure and its revelation later on makes the candidate liable for necessary disciplinary action/withdrawal from the college.
Finally selected candidates, Army Medical College cadets, will receive joining instruction form of Army Medical Colleges for reporting to the college.
The candidates and their parents or legal guardians are required to sign indemnity bonds on non-judicial stamps regarding terms and conditions of the college before admission. Draft bond should be collected from Student Section. According to the bond, if any medical cadet wants to leave college or is expelled from the college, concerned parents or legal guardian will be liable to pay the compensation as laid down in the agreement.
